STEAM-SHOVEL
The Atlin Museum is housing an ERIE TYPE A STEAM SHOVEL. According to the Northern Illinois Steam Power Club there are only six of its kind left in existence and this is the only one of it's kind in Canada today. The restored shovel was fired up and run on the Canada Day weekend on July 3, 2004. Additionally, it is the only one of two working ERIE TYPE A STEAM SHOVEL in North America.
